WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
Jumping from this spot gives a double dose of thrill -- a leap from this infamous jumping pod and bridge walks surrounded by South African wilderness. The New Zealanders may have invented the bungy, but the South Africans currently boast the honour of running the world’s highest commercial bridge bungy jump in the world. At Bloukrans Bridge, the records keep rolling in – jumper Veronica Dean performed 19 jumps in 60 minutes and a daredevil by the name of Scott Huntley performed 107 jumps over 24 hours back in 2011.

The scenery is spectacular and whilst spectators can’t see the river below from Bungy HQ, jumpers have a bird’s eye view as they hurtle towards it at warp speed. The thrills don’t start when you jump, they begin as you make your way out to the jumping platform – stepping gingerly onto the bridge’s steel girders with views of the long drop below.

Spectators have a number of outdoor viewing spots (our recommendation is the one furthest from the café), but the best place to view the abject fear on the jumpers' faces (or perhaps recognise a famous face – Prince Harry has jumped from Bloukrans) is from the TV screens inside the cafe.
